Colorado is filled with vibrant centers of commerce, culture and creativity, and is a magnet for creative workers. The formation of Creative Districts provides visitors and residents with an opportunity to participate and invest in the arts, while contributing to the economic vitality of the region and attracting creative entrepreneurs and artists.
 
Recognizing that there is a tremendous amount of talent and potential for creative industries to take a lead in our community’s social and economic development, in 2011 The North Fork Creative Collaborative (now known as the North Fork Creative Coalition) was formed.  In 2012, then Governor Hickenlooper declared the North Fork Valley an “Emerging Creative District” and little did he know how prophetic his choice would be.
