For The History Buffs
Our Valley has a long agricultural and ranching history, as well as a rich history in mining and we’re proud to display that history in our local museums. Take a Saturday afternoon during your next stay and wander through the Hotchkiss/Crawford Historical Museum located in Hotchkiss. You’ll find books on the area and long-time locals available to answer your questions. Paonia, too, has a local museum, complete with an original school room replica and memorabilia from their 70+ year old Cherry Days Festival. You’ll find their museum located next to the Paonia River Park and just North of downtown.
