Hats, boots, spurs, saddles, and horses are all symbols of the cowboy culture and evidence of the hard work, horsemanship, and individualism that can still be found in Western Colorado. Along with those symbols comes a long history of traditions, some of which you’ll notice while traveling around the North Fork Valley. Watch for boots on a fence post.
